Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technician to join our Chemical Durability team s is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong foundation in Chemistry and/or Materials Science to contribute to research and development projects using hands‑on experimental approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with scientists to plan, carry out, and improve laboratory tests related to glass corrosion, dissolution, etching, and surface engineering according to project objectives
  • Utilize advanced laboratory techniques to solve problems and support process/product development
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe, organized work environment
  • Collect and deliver high-quality, impactful data in well‑organized reports
  • Demonstrate strong laboratory skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
  • Collaborate with customers to appropriately address their requests
  • Clearly document standard laboratory procedures and regularly report on progress of ongoing work
Experiences/Education - Required
  • Minimum BS degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
  • Basic chemistry knowledge and experience working in a chemistry lab
  • Basic knowledge of materials characterization equipment or techniques
  • Technical writing and oral presentational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Previous industrial research experience
  • Background in engineering and characterization of materials surfaces
  • Knowledge of statistical software like JMP or Minitab

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $59,490.00-$81,800.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
