Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (). We are currently looking for a TBM Engineer to join our team for an Urban Tunnel Infrastructure Project in East Harlem, New York City, USA (on-site position).
Project: Large-Scale Urban Tunnel Construction (TBM & Drill and Blast)
Estimated duration of the position: 12 months

In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
The TBM Engineer will provide technical support and operational oversight during tunnel boring machine (TBM) excavation activities. The role ensures performance optimization, production monitoring, and coordination with geotechnical and design teams throughout the tunneling operations.
Main Responsibilities- Monitor TBM performance and operational parameters.
- Track advance rates and production metrics.
- Document ground conditions and excavation performance.
- Coordinate segment installation activities.
- Supervise grouting operations.
- Interface with geotechnical and design teams to ensure alignment with specifications.
- Prepare production and performance reports.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of EPB or Slurry TBM systems.
- Working hours: Flexible schedule (Day/Night rotation as required)
- Working for an international company currently expanding.
- 22 paid vacation days + 5 working days of sick leave (100% salary).
- Travel:
Round-trip flight at the beginning and end of the project if necessary. - Hotel:
Two weeks of accommodation if necessary. - Relocation package provided if required.
