Tandem HP Nonstop Engineer

High Profile International Bank seeks Senior Engineer to administer, develop and maintain HPE Tandem Nonstop production systems
.

This is a full-time direct hire role working hybrid onsite 2-3 days per week in Midtown Manhattan with an organization that offers competitive compensation, the salary range for the role is $,000 per year, and a great benefits package.

• Responsible for administration, development, maintenance, and production support for HPE Non Stop systems (Tandem).
• Engineers and implements new infrastructure solutions.
• Provides technical support for the network, security, and monitoring systems.
• Documents project requirements, proposes solutions, conducts budget and ROI studies, manages project plans and execution, and reports project status.
• Manages the remediation of the network and security environment issues on a regular basis in order to meet all the business requirements.
• Acts as a subject matter expert for the HPE Non Stop system, as well as all adjacent systems (ESKM, Outside View, etc.).
• Handles daily system/backup checks.
• Creates action plans and performs upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
• Updates procedures and documentation based on system changes.
• Helps to plan and operate disaster recovery tests.
• Acts as the liaison to communicate and coordinate with other relevant teams for all matters related to Tandem.
• Responsible for administration, development, maintenance, and production support for General Ledger System.
• Responsible for coordinating and performing change controls for General Ledger System.
• Assists business units and IT in understanding the design and use of business applications.
• Advises and assists end users in using software packages and explaining how to better utilize existing software.
• Participates in new projects and cooperates with other project / department members.
• Responsible for writing and maintaining software program documentation and procedure manuals.
• Provides necessary migration for existing computer applications.
• Acts as the liaison to communicate and coordinate with other relevant teams for General Ledger System.

• 5+ years of experience as a Tandem Engineer
• Advanced knowledge of HP Tandem Nonstop System
• Experience with bank General Ledger Systems
• Advanced knowledge of Guardian OS, Viewpoint, Viewsys, Mediacom, Batchcom, RDFCOM, SPOOLCOM, and IRS
• Knowledge of SECOM, Telemail, Secure Tape, VLE, ESKM key manager, and Outside View
• Good organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Project Management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
