Structural Steel Project Engineer

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Structural Steel Project Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Planning: Develop specific work plans for erecting or demolishing structural steel bridges and sign structures. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Design Coordination: Collaborate with structural design teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
• Technical Support: Provide engineering support during the construction phase, addressing technical issues and resolving on‑site issues related to structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Document Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. Ensure all project changes are documented and communicated effectively.
• Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and resource utilization.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in structural steel work for heavy civil construction projects
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
