Senior RFID Engineer

As a Senior RF Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing highly complex RF solutions. You will lead RF projects from initial concept through prototyping, integration, and product launch, collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines. This role offers the opportunity to influence product architecture, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical innovation in RFID and RF systems.

• Lead highly complex RF design projects, establishing technical requirements and overseeing all phases of development.
• Architect, design, and integrate RF Receiver and Transmitter systems for optimal performance and reliability.
• Design supporting circuits, including power supplies, and perform part selection and prototyping.
• Conduct lab bench testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and factory bring-up.
• Support EMI/EMC troubleshooting and validation to ensure compliance and product performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams (mechanical, firmware, software, systems) and external manufacturers (JDM/CMs) to successfully bring RFID products to market.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Create and maintain detailed specifications and contribute to product requirements.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap, identifying innovations and improvements to RF system design.
• Represent the organization with senior stakeholders and external partners, providing expert technical advice.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required to achieve program milestones.

• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field + 5+ years experience, or Masters + 4+ years experience.
• Extensive experience in board-level RF circuit design.
• Skilled in RF circuit tuning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience with antenna design and RF measurements.
• Proficient with RF test equipment: VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and RF Power Meters.

• RF design experience in the 800 MHz 8 GHz range.
• Experience with UHF RFID reader design and RF Power Amplifiers.
• RF receiver and system-level design experience (RFID, UWB).
• Familiarity with RF design software tools: ADS, CST, Cadence.
• Experience with WWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, or GPS RF design.
