Data Center Operation Lead; L3

Experts Group International is partnering with a leading AI infrastructure organisation to recruit an experienced Facility Operation Lead (L3) to support the design, operation, and reliability of hyperscale data center facilities.

This is a hands-on, mission-critical role ideal for professionals with strong technical infrastructure knowledge and experience managing power, cooling, and facility systems in data center environments.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert supporting data center operations on critical infrastructure and facility systems like power, cooling, and mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Understand and manage data center design limitations and risk, and collaborate with colocation partners or service providers on maintenance programs.
• Drive change management for high-risk maintenance and upgrade activities in critical infrastructure spaces.
• Serve as the first responder onsite for facility incidents with support from engineering SMEs.
• Provide onsite services for operational initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with customers, partner teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Required:

• Knowledge of standard power and cooling calculations (e.g., TIA-942, ASHRAE) and data center redundancy design (e.g., N+1, 2N)
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems such as generators, chillers, cooling towers, UPS, and electrical distribution
• Ability to audit facility designs and maintenance programs and assess risks

Preferred:

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background / diploma or certification
• Experience working with high-performance compute infrastructure (GPU datacenter environments)
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise in fast-paced, complex environments
