Senior Manager - Power, Infrastructure and Site Development (Data Centers) - NY
We’re hiring a Senior Manager - Power, Infrastructure and Site Development (Data Centers) to support the growth of a portfolio of hyperscale and wholesale data center campuses across ERCOT and PJM
. This role owns the upstream development work required to secure sites, obtain entitlements, and get power delivered from utilities for large-scale data center developments in grid‑constrained markets.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who can work directly with utilities, ISOs, municipalities, and landowners to move complex sites from feasibility to construction‑ready.
RESPONSIBILITIES Utility Power Procurement & Delivery- Own the process of getting power from utilities
, from initial feasibility through executed service agreements and energization milestones - Lead utility engagement to secure firm primary and redundant capacity, including substation strategy and interconnection coordination
- Manage power diligence across ERCOT and PJM, including capacity availability, delivery timelines, constraints, and queue positioning
- Coordinate utility‑driven upgrades, off‑site improvements, and long‑lead infrastructure required for power delivery
- Support on‑site generation, temporary power, and resilience strategies where grid delivery is constrained
- Drive zoning, land use approvals, and permitting for large data center campuses
- Coordinate environmental reviews and jurisdictional approvals
- Engage directly with local governments and agencies to maintain development schedules
- Support site selection and land diligence with a focus on power availability, scalability, and expansion potential
- Assist with site control, land agreements, and development rights
- Advance a pipeline of development‑ready sites aligned with customer demand and power deliverability
- Partner with design, construction, and operations teams to hand off construction‑ready, powered sites
- Support commercial teams with power, site readiness, and delivery inputs
- Manage external consultants, utilities, and stakeholders to reduce execution risk
- 5+ years of experience in data center development, infrastructure development, power, or large industrial projects
- Proven experience securing utility power for large‑load customers
- Direct experience working with utilities, ISOs, and regulators (ERCOT and/or PJM strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of data center power requirements, substation strategy, and utility service processes
- Experience with permitting, zoning, and entitlements for complex sites
- Hyperscale or wholesale data center experience
- Exposure to on‑site generation or energy resilience strategies
- Background in utilities, renewables, or grid infrastructure
