Senior Product Manager, Autonomous Vehicle

At Uber, we combine our leading on-demand Mobility and Delivery platform with deep expertise in demand generation, user experience, marketplace management, and local operations to help AV partners deploy and scale their technology globally. Our team is at the forefront of revolutionizing transportation with autonomous vehicles (AVs).

As a Senior Product Manager for Autonomous Vehicle Experience, you will be part of the product team leading the strategy and execution for the rider experience in AVs. You will be responsible for building a best-in-class safe, reliable, and delightful AV-first experience and will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation in the autonomous vehicle space.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the strategy and vision for the best-in-class AV rider experience

• Educate riders about AVs and build a safe and transparent experience

• Generate demand and grow rider affinity for AVs

• Design a seamless ride experience, including frictionless pick-up and drop-offs, vehicle controls before, during, and after trip, and on-trip experience both in-app and in-vehicle

• Ensure a high-quality rider experience when things don't go as planned

• Collaborate with AV tech partners to improve and co-design the rider experience, including both software and hardware

• 4+ years of product experience delivering successful and innovative products

• Excellent track record of building best-in-class consumer products

• Customer obsession and exceptional user and product instincts

• Ability to take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions

• Proficiency with data:
  You can find the data you need and turn it into an insightful story, demonstrating its value in decision-making

• A high bar across the board, from your own contributions to the people you work with, to the products you build

• A true passion for Uber's mission, our products, and the company's hybrid technology/operations nature

• A strong desire to grow and learn

• Experience building products from 0-1

• Experience owning and leading strategy for lines of business

• Experience with AVs

• Experience with software and hardware

• Experience at a high-growth company

• Entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated through identifying and executing on opportunities in ambiguous problem spaces

For New York, NY-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year – USD $211,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year – USD $211,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
