We are partnering with an innovative, seed-stage deep-technology company focused on addressing the global critical minerals supply challenge.
Our client has developed a proprietary hydrometallurgical process designed to increase critical mineral extraction at existing operations while unlocking previously uneconomic resources. The technology operates as a closed-loop system, enabling precise control of outputs, reduced environmental impact, and improved overall project economics.
The company is well-capitalized by leading global investors and is currently advancing pilot-scale execution, with commercial deployment planning underway. The team is mission-driven and committed to responsible, sustainable metals extraction.
As Lead Process Modeling Engineer, you be reporting to senior commercial leadership and working closely with the CTO, you will own the company's process to providing proving technical, economic, and environmental value to global mining clients, using SysCAD, TEA and LCA.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and maintain high-fidelity process simulation models (SysCAD, METSIM, HSC or similar)
- Translate mineralogical feed data into optimized process configurations
- Deliver Technoeconomic Analysis (TEA) and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)
- Convert technical outputs into clear commercial value propositions
- Provide modeling insights to guide ongoing R&D improvements
- Quantify cost savings, carbon intensity reduction, and waste minimization for customers and regulators
- 5+ years process simulation experience
- Strong technoeconomic modeling capability
- Preference in mining or battery recycling or lithium copper, nickel.
- Deep understanding of chemistry, thermodynamics, and mass/energy balances
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, or related field
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, or related field
