A client of ours is currently seeking a Senior Engineer within their MEP team to assist on the technical development and management of projects. They operate in several sectors including healthcare, higher education, data centers, and high-end commercial projects.

Responsibilities -

• Design and develop mechanical (HVAC) systems for a variety of building types including commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical facilities
• Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines to ensure fully integrated MEP designs
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, equipment selection, and ductwork/piping layouts using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC software
• Prepare construction documents including plans, specifications, and technical reports in compliance with local codes and company standards
• Participate in design review meetings, collaborating closely with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, and field reports to support construction administration and verify installation conforms to design intent
• Interface with clients and project stakeholders to gather requirements, present design solutions, and provide engineering support

Qualifications -

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) or related field; EIT preferred, PE a plus
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical (HVAC) design within an MEP consulting or engineering firm
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software (e.g., Trace 700, HAP)
• Solid understanding of NYC and international mechanical codes, ASHRAE standards, and green building practices
• Experience producing construction documents and performing load calculations and equipment sizing
• Strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, plumbing, and architectural trades
• Effective communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and technical documentation
• Demonstrated ability to manage time across multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
