System Design Engineer

Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually

, you’ll be part of a team that designs and fabricates automation solutions from concept to completion. As the System Design Engineer
, you will be responsible for the custom design of electrical panels and schematics to meet our customers’ unique needs.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Auburn, NY. Local candidate preferred. Relocation assistance is not provided.

• For Design-Build or Build-to-Print projects, provide estimates for labor, shop materials, and design time for customer proposals
• Act as the point of contact for Panel Technicians with technical questions regarding drawings, procedures, components, etc., including “in-process” guidance and quality checks of technicians’ work, with detailed follow-through and closure
• Perform detailed design activities upon receipt of a customer order for a panel job, including review of sales-generated BOMs and making necessary corrections, additions, or deletions
• Complete mechanical and electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical
• Review drawings created by other Panel Design Engineers
• Act as project manager on panel jobs
• Provide customer post-sales support, including startups and core products
• Assist with technical customer support

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
• Minimum 2 Year Technical Degree, 4 Year Degree a Plus
• Knowledge of Tools and Fixturing Required for Control Panel Fabrication and Wiring
• Knowledge of UL 508A a plus
• Must have a valid and clean driver's license to travel to job sites as needed

Salary commensurate with experience in the design of electrical systems (Range from $55,000 - $95,000 annually)
