Regional Engineering Manager

** Primary Accountability:
** Lead and manage engineering operations across a designated regional portfolio, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and client satisfaction while driving operational excellence and team development.
** Key Responsibilities
**** Operational Management
*** Support day-to-day engineering operations across multiple properties in the region
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and standard operating procedures
* Monitor and optimize energy management systems and sustainability initiatives
* Coordinate emergency response procedures and business continuity planning
** Team Leadership & Development
*** Recruit, train, and mentor engineering staff
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities
* Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
* Manage staffing levels and resource allocation across the regional portfolio
** Client & Stakeholder Management
*** Serve as primary engineering contact for clients and property management teams
* Participate in client meetings and provide technical expertise and recommendations
* Respond to and resolve complex engineering issues and tenant concerns
* Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers
** Financial Management
*** Develop and manage regional engineering budgets and capital expenditure plans
* Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers
* Prepare financial reports and variance analysis
** Technical Expertise
*** Provide technical guidance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems
* Oversee major capital projects and system upgrades
* Conduct building assessments and recommend improvements
* Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
** Quality Assurance & Compliance
*** Ensure all work meets JLL standards and client requirements
* Conduct regular property inspections and audits
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting systems
* Implement and monitor safety protocols and training programs
** Key Performance Indicators
*** Client satisfaction scores and retention rates
* Energy efficiency and sustainability metrics
* Budget adherence and cost management
* Team performance and retention
* Compliance and safety record
* Response time to critical issues
