We are hiring a Project Engineer to support project management, site supervision, scheduling, cost control and documentation on heavy civil projects. You'll own RFIs/submittals, daily quantity tracking, look-ahead schedules, monthly CPM updates, SWPPP logs, and assist with owner billings.
Responsibilities- Support project managers with project controls, documentation and job cost tracking.
- Supervise on-site execution to ensure quality, schedule adherence and safety.
- Manage RFIs, submittals and inspection coordination to remove execution blockers.
- Record daily quantities for payment and inspection; support owner billings.
- Issue purchase orders, coordinate deliveries and perform quantity takeoffs.
- Produce weekly look-ahead schedules and monthly CPM updates; maintain SWPPP logs.
Required (must have)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field -- or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience on heavy civil projects (intern or project engineer level).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Job.
- Prior experience on bridges, roadways, landfills, or dams.
- Knowledge of SWPPP and construction compliance standards.
