Senior Onsite Network Engineer

• Experience in network operation to support the NW Hub infrastructure, proficient with various Cisco routing and switching technologies and network security products such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Firepower, and Cisco ASA.
• Hands‑on experience administering network devices including routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, voice telephony, IPS, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and SMTP.
• Security knowledge of firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and security appliances (IPS).
• Hands‑on experience with F5 Load Balancers and Forward/Reverse Proxy (F5).
• Support experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switches.
• Good knowledge of Cisco SD‑WAN/SDA technology.
• Experience with Cisco Wireless Technologies.
• Understanding of IP addressing, MPLS routing, Internet technologies, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS).
• Understanding of technologies such as VPN, VXLAN, VRRP, HSRP, STP, Port Channel, Net Flow, and stacking technologies.
• Knowledge of network automation using tools like Ansible and Python.
• Experience working with Solar Winds NPM, NCM, NTA, IPAM, Syslog, and ITSM tools.

Candidate will work at a Sony Music office in New York as a Senior Onsite Network Engineer. They will ensure the network availability and performance of all sites, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors as needed. The engineer will provide onsite support and collaborate closely with customer leaders and stakeholders throughout their tenure.

Experience in vendor management and customer stakeholder management.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
