Create new and revise existing detail part drawings, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and required CAD support for specification documents. Specialize in making 3D engineering drawings for the parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Create, revise & maintain 2D & 3D detailed drawings of components and bushing assemblies per request.
- Create drawings by planning arrangement of appropriate views, sections, and details as required to best describe part geometry.
- Dimension and tolerance part drawings that may incorporate complex details.
- Verify completed drawings against input requirements prior to submittal to engineers.
- Create, revise, and maintain Bill of Materials in SAP system.
- Process and complete engineering changes in a timely fashion.
- Execute revisions on detail, assembly, and customer drawings, or engineering specification documents. Maintain the documents.
- Participate in other associated engineering activities.
- Interact with other departments to support customers and operations. Work in the factory sometimes. Visit local vendors occasionally.
- Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD packages including AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Solidworks, or other CAD software.
- Demonstration of existing 2D and 3D engineering/technical work is required.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate degree: relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Understanding of SAP functions, particularly Material Master and BOM.
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The salary range for this role is $53,800-$67,300 per year. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
