Field Compliance Auditor – Water Treatment & Compliance Services at Tower Water Join a leading environmental services company in the New York City Metropolitan Area as a detail‑oriented Field Compliance Auditor. The role requires excellent customer service, field‑oriented guidance, and a positive Can‑Do attitude.
Position SummaryThis is an 80% autonomous, full‑time, entry‑level position that requires meeting deadlines in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is responsive, practical, exercises good judgement, and is flexible under various circumstances such as schedule changes or exposure to the elements.
Primary Duties- Review, audit, and monitor facility water management plans.
- Collaborate with water treatment and construction divisions.
- Act as a point of contact among building facilities, vendors, and the Department of Health to reduce the risk of legionella in cooling water systems.
- Inspect cooling towers in accordance with local legionella regulations.
- Collect and submit legionella samples as planned or in response to emergencies.
- Create and supply documentation to clients to maintain satisfactory compliance status.
- Deliver training and assistance regarding water management plans.
- Inform clients about the services offered.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Preferred 7G Pesticide License.
- Preferred minimum of two years’ experience in the water treatment industry.
- Open mind seeking to acquire conceptual skills.
- Effective communication with clients.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Can‑do attitude.
- Ability to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Google Workspace, maps, etc.).
- Basic hands‑on mechanical skills (hand tools).
- Reliable individual who understands the value of reputation.
- Ability to manage tasks autonomously with supervision as required.
- Two‑year technical degree or equivalent.
- Certified industrial hygienist.
- Environmental consultant.
- ASSE 12080 Legionella Water Safety and Management Personnel.
- Experience in the water treatment industry may supplement education requirements.
- Standing for 6–8 hours.
- Frequently carrying equipment weighing 25–50 lb.
- Safely scaling ladders to access equipment.
- Exposure to hazardous environments, chemicals, tight spaces, and varying temperatures.
- Commutes within the New York Metropolitan area.
- Starting annual salary of $50k–$60k based on experience.
