Mechanical Drafter

Overview

MECHANICAL DRAFTER with strong HVAC expertise needed for a premier mechanical construction contractor in New York City.

• Create detailed technical drawings and plans using Autodesk Revit for HVAC/mechanical systems, including ductwork and piping layouts.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate design concepts and project specifications into accurate schematics and layouts.
• Manage and maintain 3D models on the Autodesk ACC platform, including keeping models up to date with as-built information.
• Use Navisworks to update and create 3D models of the building and verify installed conditions of past projects.
• Review and revise drawings as necessary to ensure accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and reflection of field conditions.
• Maintain organized documentation of all drafts and revisions, and participate in project meetings to discuss design progress.

• Minimum of 5 years of applied experience in HVAC mechanical drafting or BIM modeling.
• Demonstrated expertise in using Revit and Navisworks for technical drafting.
• Practical experience in creating and revising detailed drawings for HVAC mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently on projects.

SALARY: $75-100K
