Manufacturing Engineer/Foundry Engineer:
About the RoleWe’re seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Enginee
r to join our non-ferrous foundry team. In this key role, you’ll design and optimize tooling and casting processes that directly impact product quality, efficiency, and profitability. From concept through high-volume production, you’ll use your technical expertise to drive process excellence and continuous improvement across the operation.
- Design & Optimize Tooling
:
Develop and refine gating and risering systems using PTC Cre
o and Solid Cas
t to improve metal flow, yield, and quality. Including DISA equipment - Boost Process Performance
:
Identify and implement improvements in casting, melting, and pouring practices to reduce scrap and enhance efficiency - Validate and Standardize Processes
:
Lead sampling and First Article Approvals (FAA
), document production standards, and lock in robust process parameters - Collaborate & Lead
:
Partner with the Quality and Production teams to resolve issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement permanent corrective actions - Support and Mentor
:
Provide technical guidance to operators and junior engineers while coordinating pattern shop projects and tooling maintenance - Stay Ahead
:
Keep current with new foundry technologies, materials, and automation to continuously advance our manufacturing capabilities
- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanica
l or Metallurgical Engineerin
g (or equivalent experience) - Experience
: 3+ years in a non-ferrous foundr
y or manufacturing engineering role - Strong understanding of non-ferrous metallurgy and casting principle
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (PTC Creo
) and casting simulation software - Soft Skills
:
Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities; proven team collaboration and project ownership - Roughly 50% office / 50% foundry floo
