Manufacturing Engineer/Foundry Engineer:

About the Role

We’re seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Enginee
r to join our non-ferrous foundry team. In this key role, you’ll design and optimize tooling and casting processes that directly impact product quality, efficiency, and profitability. From concept through high-volume production, you’ll use your technical expertise to drive process excellence and continuous improvement across the operation.

What You’ll Do
  • Design & Optimize Tooling
    :
    Develop and refine gating and risering systems using PTC Cre
    o and Solid Cas
    t to improve metal flow, yield, and quality. Including DISA equipment
  • Boost Process Performance
    :
    Identify and implement improvements in casting, melting, and pouring practices to reduce scrap and enhance efficiency
  • Validate and Standardize Processes
    :
    Lead sampling and First Article Approvals (FAA
    ), document production standards, and lock in robust process parameters
  • Collaborate & Lead
    :
    Partner with the Quality and Production teams to resolve issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement permanent corrective actions
  • Support and Mentor
    :
    Provide technical guidance to operators and junior engineers while coordinating pattern shop projects and tooling maintenance
  • Stay Ahead
    :
    Keep current with new foundry technologies, materials, and automation to continuously advance our manufacturing capabilities
What You Bring
  • Education
    :
    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanica
    l or Metallurgical Engineerin
    g (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience
    : 3+ years in a non-ferrous foundr
    y or manufacturing engineering role
  • Strong understanding of non-ferrous metallurgy and casting principle
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (PTC Creo
    ) and casting simulation software
  • Soft Skills
    :
    Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities; proven team collaboration and project ownership
  • Roughly 50% office / 50% foundry floo
    r—you’ll balance design work with real-world process development and observation
