A leading engineering firm in New York City is looking for a motivated Structural Engineer to join their team and contribute to the design of construction engineering projects supporting major infrastructure developments. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with contractor clients, providing innovative solutions for complex construction challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop construction drawings and specifications for infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate directly with contractor clients to support project execution.
• Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Conduct field inspections and provide on-site construction support.
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with project teams.
• Assist with heavy lift planning, rigging design, temporary shoring, demolition engineering, and more.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience (New York or New Jersey preferred).
• Construction industry experience is highly valued.
• Experience in construction engineering (heavy lift planning, rigging, bridge load rating, etc.).
• PE license (preferred in NY or NJ).
• Proficiency in LARSA and other finite element design software.
• Skilled in Micro Station and/or AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
• Familiarity with industry codes (AASHTO, AISC, ACI, AREMA, IBC).
