Description:
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Configuration Management Engineer. In this role, you will manage all facets of configuration and data management team
-including product deliveries, status accounting, baseline control, and the engineering change review process-by processing Problem Reports (PRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and leading PR/ECN board reviews for parts, cable and mechanical drawings, Bills of Materials, and related work products. You will also collaborate closely with program leaders, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software, translate customer requirements into specifications, conduct system tests, and support product life cycle of programs.
Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic, Systems, Aerospace, or a related field and possess familiarity with configuration requirement management systems, and basic system design and verification concepts. Experience on cross functional teams, strong analytical and problem solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential. A passion for process improvement-leveraging methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen-is highly valued, as is any academic or internship exposure to avionics or embedded hardware/software development.
Basic Qualifications:
• B.S. in an Engineering discipline or an equivalent STEM field.
• Minimum of 2 projects (school or internship) related to engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Skills:
• Knowledge of system requirements and test documentation.
• Knowledge of revision controlled processes.
• Knowledge of database management, workflows, data analytics & techniques.
• Knowledge of process control techniques and efficiency improvements analysis.
• Familiarity with lean six sigma methodologies.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Systems, Quality, Operations)
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $49,700 - $87,515. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
