Overview
Telecommunications Engineer — My client, a global communications organisation, require a Telecommunications Engineer who will provide support for their Network infrastructure which includes the following.
Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr - $72,000.00/yr
Responsibilities- Installation, Operations and Maintenance of telecommunications equipment and associated apparatus. (IP, EoSDH, MPLS, etc.)
- Testing, commissioning and fault isolation of circuit orders for IPLC, EoSDH, voice circuits, IP circuits etc.
- Relevant experience with the telecommunications service provider or major equipment vendors.
- Working Knowledge SDH/DWDM Multiplexers and Testers
- Knowledge of Copper, UTP and Fiber Cables handling and Testing
- Basic hands-on experience on routers and switches.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set priorities, recognize basic causes, and recommend problem solutions that meet the practical needs of the business
