- Providing strategic oversight of municipal and utility water/wastewater programs, including treatment, conveyance, regulatory compliance, and resilience initiatives
- Leading multiple Project Managers and senior technical teams across concurrent, large-scale capital programs
- Setting and maintaining technical standards, QA/QC processes, and delivery frameworks
- Partnering with clients on capital improvement programs (CIPs), consent-driven programs, and long-range planning
- Supporting business development through trusted client relationships, pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives
- Mentoring senior engineers and PMs as part of a structured leadership succession plan

- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (NY or NJ required or obtainable)
- 15–25+ years of experience in water/wastewater or water resources engineering
- Proven experience leading practices, large programs, or multi-disciplinary teams within a consulting environment
- Strong credibility with NYC-area utilities, authorities, and public-sector stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Ability to balance technical excellence with people, client, and business leadership
Senior leaders choose this firm because it offers national capability with a deeply engineering-led culture:
- Long-standing, trusted relationships with NYC DEP, regional authorities, and major utilities
- Stable, well-funded public-sector backlog supporting multi-year capital programs
- Leadership roles built on technical credibility, not just sales volume
- Strong investment in staff development, mentoring, and succession
- Collaborative, low-ego environment with excellent senior-level retention
- Freedom to lead without constant re-organization or short-term pressure
- Bonus:
Leadership and performance-based incentives - Work Model:
