Location: New York

Gedeon GRC Consulting is looking for a Robotics Technician to join our firm. The Robotics Technician will support the day‑to‑day readiness and operation of advanced robotic systems used for inspection and surveying. This position involves maintaining and preparing drones, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and related sensors for field deployment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn the technical and operational aspects of cutting‑edge robotics equipment.

SALARY

RANGE

$50,000 -$65,000 annually. Pay commensurate with experience.

LOCATION

Options of Remote, Hybrid (local to the NYC Metro Area) or in office at our Syosset NY, Princeton, NJ or Newark, NJ locations.

TRAVEL

This position requires travel (less than 50%).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform regular cleaning, inspection, and basic maintenance of drones, ROVs, and sensors.
  • Handle battery charging, swaps, and storage for all robotic platforms.
  • Assist with setup, calibration, and teardown of equipment in the field.
  • Keep accurate logs of equipment use, maintenance, and issues.
  • Help transport and organize gear for field deployments.
  • Support the transfer and organization of collected data after missions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • HS Diploma, bachelor's degree in robotics engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • FAA Part 107 License is preferred.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license required, with access to a reliable vehicle on a daily basis.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to understand equipment schematics and
  • Proven attention to detail able to follow maintenance and calibration procedures exactly and document work thoroughly.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing equipment inventories, maintenance logs, and field kits.
  • Strong situational awareness and safety mindset when working around live systems, confined spaces, or active sites.
  • Comfortable with tools, connectors, wiring, and calibration instruments.
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with operators, pilots, and engineers in the field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and stay calm under field time constraints.
  • Experience with data transfer, basic file organization, or sensor setup a plus.
  • Familiarity with advanced or prototype drones, ROVs, RTK systems, or survey equipment is
