Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman with experience in the metal manufacturing industry to join our team. The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models for metal fabrication projects. This role requires strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Drawings & Drafting
    • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (Solid Works)
    • Create fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and part details for metal components including weld callout etc.
    • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and safety requirements.
    • Maintain and create document control and library
  • Manufacturing Support
    • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable drawings.
    • Provide clear instructions for fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
    • Revise drawings based on feedback from shop floor and quality control teams.
    • Reverse engineer products and create a clear drawing package
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
    • Maintain documentation and drawing records for future reference.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and other relevant standards.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with engineers, and operations team
    • Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
