📍 New York City
A leading NYC-based MEP consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Mission Critical experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast-paced, high-reliability environments and wants to work on some of the most complex facilities in the industry.
What You’ll Do- Design and engineer HVAC, cooling, and mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities including data centers, financial trading floors, healthcare, and life sciences
- Develop redundant, resilient systems (N+1, 2N, concurrently maintainable designs)
- Prepare construction documents, calculations, and specifications
- Coordinate closely with electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams
- Support client meetings, design reviews, and field observations
- Review submittals, RFIs, and respond to construction-phase questions
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- 5+ years of MEP consulting experience, with a strong focus on mission-critical projects
- Proven experience with data centers or other high-availability facilities
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of NYC codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and industry standards
- PE license or EIT (PE preferred)
- High-profile mission-critical projects in NYC and nationwide
