Aboutthe Role MISSION & MAIN
ACTIVITIES:
- Deliver detailed and safety highway inspections in accordance with Trunk Road Maintenance Manual vol 2.
- Implement company and local policies, with priority given to QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health issues).
- Achieving a consistent high-quality approach to asset management throughout the M40 by monitoring the state of the asset, identifying future maintenance needs and developing sustainable proposals for renewals.
- Attendance to Safety Action Group meeting.
- Maintain motorway asset inventory database.
- Some night-time work is involved during the year undertaking detailed inspections of the assets.
- Responsible for the efficient execution of Inspections to ensure delivery of the Company’s requirements and those of the Client Vercity. and National Highways.
- Assist in the allocation and notification of defects identified by the inspections.
- Comply with all relevant documentation including Risk Assessments and Method Statements and ensure they are approved before work commences.
- Liaise with neighboring authorities, interested parties and emergency services and attend meetings with the Asset Manager.
- Dealing with customer HAIL enquiries and complaints relating to the M40 DBFO Network.
- Assist with the close out of defects on system following confirmation from service delivery team and the client.
- Assist and support implementation of Asset Management System.
REQUIRED:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Has an excellent eye for detail and accuracy of paperwork and reports.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks.
- A ‘Can Do’ attitude.
