Job OverviewAt Ramboll, you will work with a dedicated team of professionals pioneering Data Center Strategy, Planning, Design, Integration, Commissioning, and Testing across the U.S. and globally. We provide a wide spectrum of services for enterprise, institutional, web‑scale, service provider, and colocation clients, helping them bring data closer to their own customers and align IT with facility operations for rapid, risk‑free deployment.
Responsibilitiesfor Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Communicate directly with clients.
- Plan vantage, conceptualize, and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit mission‑critical buildings projects.
- Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work.
- Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications (using computer software).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure project timelines are met and projects remain within budget.
- Travel to project sites as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience at a design engineering firm, including mission‑critical (data center) design.
- Strong grasp of HVAC engineering concepts and practical applications.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering software (heat‑loss/gain calculations, pipe‑flow, CFD modeling, etc.).
- Effective communication skills to mentor junior staff.
- Self‑motivated with a clear understanding of design steps and requirements.

Salary TransparencyThe U.S. pay range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000 annually, excluding bonuses, overtime, or other compensation. Salary may vary by location and individual skill sets.
