Base pay range$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Astronics LSI in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who’s ready to help optimize and evolve our production processes. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams—from planning and design to procurement and operations—to improve manufacturing methods, maximize efficiency, and help bring innovative products to life.
This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering who is eager to grow their skills in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment supporting complex electromechanical systems.
What You’ll Do- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods=? workflows
- Collaborate on equipment layout and workspace design for optimal efficiency
- Work with planning, design, and tooling teams to streamline production processes
- Analyze production times, staffing needs, and cost estimates to support business decisions
- Consult with vendors to ensure products meet quality standards and specs
- Ask about applying statistical tools to forecast manufacturing capacity and identify opportunities
- Contribute to internal audit documentation and SOX compliance (as needed)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems, machining, electronics, and painting processes
- Bonus points for experience with photometric equipment, chemical processing/formulations
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and process documentation
- Flexibility that works: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
