Job Description
Insight Global is assisting a client that is expanding its industrial printing applications within the automotive sector by building a new team to support new/current clients in the Novi and Detroit area. This Sales Engineer will drive business development and technical sales for our plastic injection molding solutions, focusing on the automotive and manufacturing sectors. This role combines technical expertise with relationship‑building to deliver value‑added solutions to clients and support the launch of new product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the automotive and industrial markets for plastic injection molding services.
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams, providing guidance on material selection, part design, and manufacturability.
- Present and demonstrate products and solutions to clients, addressing technical questions and offering recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and technical presentations.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met from concept through production.
- Maintain and夠expand a network of industry contacts and potential clients.

- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, etc.) or 3–5 years of experience in the plastic/injection molding industry - Experience selling to or supporting automotive OEMs or Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers
- Reliability, communication, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel as required
- Knowledge of thermoplastics, polymer processing, and automotive interior components
- Established network within the automotive or plastics industry
