Overview
Director of Development to lead late-stage development for distributed energy projects. In this role you will be responsible for managing projects during various stages of development through commercial operation. The role will be dynamic and entrepreneurial, working with various partners, developers, utilities, investors and community stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Lead mid-to-late-stage development, including engineering, design, and permitting.
- Manage and mentor a team, including engineering and permitting leads.
- Oversee permitting strategies and negotiations with authorities and stakeholders.
- Maintain accountability for budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure smooth handover of projects to construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in technical project development (renewables preferred).
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing teams and complex projects.
- Expertise in permitting and engineering for projects in urban environments.
