We are seeking a hands‑on Head of Engineering to lead our technology strategy and execution. This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader with a proven track record of building secure, scalable systems in high‑growth or startup environments.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will define our long‑term engineering vision, guide architectural decisions, and mentor a growing team. You will collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver enterprise‑grade, data‑driven solutions for the evolving open finance landscape.

• Foster a collaborative, innovative engineering culture aligned with company values

• Own end‑to‑end architecture and execution for all technical initiatives
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, including code quality, security, performance, and scalability
• Guide technology stack decisions and evaluate emerging technologies for business impact

• Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and delivery
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and non‑technical stakeholders

• Oversee project timelines, delivery milestones, and engineering resource allocation
• Implement and uphold rigorous QA, testing, and deployment standards
• Manage engineering budgets, tools, and infrastructure investments

• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent
• Build an inclusive and results‑oriented engineering culture
• Mentor engineers at all levels and lead by example

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
• Proven success scaling engineering teams and systems in startup or high‑growth environments
• Expertise in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data systems
• Familiarity with modern SDLC practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code review, Agile methodologies
• Experience with compliance, data privacy, or fintech regulations is a strong plus
• Strong strategic thinking, decision‑making, and communication skills
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
• This role is hybrid/in‑office and requires regular presence at our NYC headquarters
• Collaborate in‑person with teams at our New York City office to drive initiatives
