Location: New York
Bio Medical Tech - Biomed - Day Shift With Flexibility to Cover On-Call Responsibilities and Other Shifts as needed
Join the Biomedical team at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. We are a 591‑bed hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College. The role is a full‑time day position (8:00 am–4:00 pm Monday‑Friday) with flexibility to cover on‑call responsibilities and other shifts as needed at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Responsibilities- Install, inspect, repair, preventive maintenance, and de‑install medical equipment.
- Analyze/diagnose technical problems down to component level on various medical equipment.
- Coordinate medical equipment services provided by service vendors.
- Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering or electrical engineering.
- High school diploma/GED.
- 0 years of experience with an associate’s/bachelor’s degree OR 2+ years of experience with no college degree.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to read equipment electrical, electronic and mechanical diagrams.
- Strong electronics, electrical, and mechanical repair skills.
- Basic knowledge and experience with medical equipment maintenance management systems.
- Basic knowledge of equipment cleaning, disinfection and sterilization.
- Knowledge of biomedical test devices.
- Knowledge of electronics.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.
$40.33‑$48.91 per hour.
