Environmental Health & Safety Engineer – Full-time direct-hire position with an industrial manufacturing and material handling solutions company in Greene, New York.

$85,000.00/yr – $/yr

• Monitor, coordinate, and oversee health and safety programs, including safety inspections, audits, accident investigations, and training initiatives.
• Promote a strong site safety culture by implementing procedures, metrics, campaigns, and programs to prevent injuries and illnesses, increase employee engagement, and reduce unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and occupational illnesses to identify root causes and implement effective preventive measures.
• Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and follow-up on all work-related incidents, including implementation of corrective actions.
• Evaluate machinery, equipment, and operational practices to identify hazards and manage associated risks.
• Develop, prepare, and deliver training on safety procedures, regulatory requirements, hazard monitoring, and proper use of safety equipment.
• Conduct facility inspections, including industrial hygiene assessments, and report findings to management with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety best practices into operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate emergency plans and participate in required drills to ensure preparedness across the organization.
• Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal occupational health and safety regulations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant work experience (or ten years of relevant experience).
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
• Professional HSS Certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH) preferred.
