CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense, Hauppauge, NY
The Hauppauge NY facility manufactures and supplies engineered critical control components and sub‑systems based on customer requirements to the aerospace and medical equipment markets. A new lean manufacturing facility features a class 10K clean room for flight‑critical pressure regulators, model line cells for pneumatic weapons release systems, centrifuge production line for blood separation technologies, and an additional production area for kinetic switch components and modules.

- Break down information obtained from specifications, sketches, customer layout drawings and instructions furnished by others and convert the information into a detailed design which can include drawings with section views and dimensions.
- Be able to design and model parts and assemblies in Solid Works.
- Perform limited mathematical calculations using standard procedures for one or more of the following: stress, fatigue, flow, vibration, shock, thermal.
- Perform limited finite element analysis for one or more of the following: structural stress, fatigue, flow, vibration, shock, thermal.
- Perform limited DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Consult with others to determine whether drawings can be executed efficiently and within expected tolerances.
- Prepare bills of materials and specifications.
- Complete forms, reports and relevant documentation as required for both engineering department and customer submittal.
- Compile record of project progress (project plan) and ensure project progress per schedule.
- Results oriented, with sound judgment.

- Excellent demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and strategic skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage changes during design phase.
- Resourceful and well organized.
- Ability to effectively work in a cross‑functional team.
- Working knowledge of computerized drafting applications.
- Relevant mechanical design experience preferred in the design of mechanical components or valves.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- US Person.
Pay Range: $105,000 - $115,000
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
