JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the Installation and Commissioning Engineer (ICE) role is to positively contribute to the project results through successful coordinated management and execution of multiple tasks in alignment with Installation and Commissioning (I&C) function objectives, priorities and methods. The job holder operates with a high level of autonomy, and collaborates with peers and superiors to operationalize goals and priorities in line with the strategic direction for the project.

They will have day to day accountability for the successful delivery of the tasks for which they are owner, in order to achieve time, quality and cost targets, within financial, contractual and health and safety parameters.

Each project delivered by SPX Flow is led by a Project Manager supported by a project team.

The job holder may be assigned to specific projects, in this project team as:

* Site Manager (SM)

* Installation Supervisor (IS)

* Commissioning Team Leader (CTL)

* Process Commissioning Engineer (PCE)

Specific assignments depend on:

* The job holder skills set

* The size and complexity of the project

The job holder is usually assigned when site operations start, if taking a role of IS or SM. They are assigned when installation is completed if taking a role of CTL or PCE

Willing to travel globally up to 80% annually, with assignments lasting up to 6 weeks at a time

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As Process Commissioning Engineer, they are responsible for:

* Installation Qualification

* Operational Qualification support

* Documentation management (including updating) for his / her areas

* Performance Qualification support

* Customer training

The Process Commissioning Engineer has overall responsibility and is answerable for all commissioning activities in relation to their specific assignment. They are responsible for implementing the energies, utilities for powering MCC panels and control cabinets. They are responsible for the instrumentation setup and troubleshooting any mechanical, hydraulic, thermal and electrical failure. They are responsible for starting the plants up including the utilities and for checking that the contractual performances are met from physical and process standpoints.

They are accountable for enabling the customer to start their first production with a plant cleaned, sterile (if required) and secured (qualified) from a process perspective.

They support the software engineer during operational (functional) qualification (OQ) and the customer during their performances qualification (PQ) and train the operators.

The Process Commissioning Engineer attends any meeting on the Commissioning Team Leader demand.

They proceed with weekly commissioning reviews and sends a weekly report to the Commissioning Team Leader.

They are responsible for providing them with their final commissioning report before leaving site. The final commissioning report must include:

* IQ report

* Exhaustive records of instrumentation and frequency convertors settings

* Exhaustive records of results (flow, temperature, pressures, runtimes, …) obtained compared to the contractual or specified ones

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Having previous and strong experience in engineering (design and / or construction and/or commissioning) food processes (wet, liquid and/or dry) within food and beverage industry

* Anticipating, identifying, assessing and addressing potential or actual events and items that may impact positively or negatively on project delivery or benefits realization

* Reviewing and reporting on all aspects of project progress through the timely and accurate collection, maintenance and dissemination of project information to stakeholders

* Conducting regular reviews to check project progress and evaluate achievement

* Determining and applying SPX and statutory standards and methods to minimize the likelihood of accidents, injuries and environment impact, both during the project and during the operation of its deliverables

* Defining and validating his /her deliverables and work to produce them. Managing and responding to requests for changes to project in a structured and controlled manner.
