IBM Data Power Consultant

As an IBM Data Power Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting IBM Data Power Gateway solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architect robust solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your expertise in IBM Data Power will be critical in optimizing performance, enhancing security, and ensuring the scalability of clients’ IT infrastructure.

• Need hands-on experience in developing and implementing API solutions using IBM Data Power appliances.
• Experience in developing Data Power services such as multi-protocol gateways, web service proxies, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, JSON, SOAP, and RESTful services.
• Experience with security standards and protocols such as OAuth, SSL/TLS, and SAML.
• Experience with firmware upgrade and system migrations.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Gateway Script and XSLT.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS) and protocols.
• Familiarity with API management tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills.

• Design and implement IBM Data Power Gateway solutions to meet client requirements.
• Configure and customize Data Power appliances to optimize performance and security.
• Develop and maintain Data Power policies, including AAA, SSL, and XML Firewall.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to integrate Data Power with existing applications and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Data Power configuration, connectivity, and performance.
• Stay abreast of the latest IBM Data Power features, updates, and best practices.
