Our client, a global engineering firm based in New York, NY, is seeking a Bridge Inspector to collaborate with state agencies across the Tri-State area. This role focuses on conducting thorough bridge inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to project success with precision and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspection Execution: Plan, schedule, and conduct detailed inspections of bridges and related structures in accordance with FHWA and AASHTO guidelines, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, document deficiencies, and recommend necessary repairs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Innovation: Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Licensure: P.E. License (New York State) – Required.

Experience: 1-5+ years in bridge inspection or structural evaluation.

Certifications: NBIS Certification (preferred).

Skills:
Proficiency in inspection software/tools (e.g., BrIM, Bentley).

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.

Other: Familiarity with state/local agencies is a plus; ability to work in varying field conditions (heights, confined spaces, diverse weather).
