Assistant Resident Engineer - Electrical

Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer – Electrical for our team in New York. In this role, you will primarily oversee construction management/engineering field staff for the rehabilitation or replacement of electrical systems and components.

• Complete review and provide feedback for electrical design submissions, coordinate with electrical QA/QC, and coordinate inspections and comment closeout for various electrical scopes for terminal redevelopment programs.
• Engage and work with our client’s management teams, project teams and stakeholders to define, gather and coordinate Electrical requirements for airport terminal redevelopment programs.
• Ensure submittals, schedules, insurance, and contract requirements are submitted and approved.
• Oversee General Contractors and their supply chains to ensure contracted scope is delivered and commissioned on time and to budget, reporting status as required.
• Manage change in a manner that is fair to our clients and their suppliers.
• Ensure that changes to designs, schedule or approved budgets are coordinated and integrated with related programs/projects and budget holders.
• Identify and mitigate risks to successful program delivery.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical inspection.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ability to work with Primavera P6 and CAD tools.
• Problem solver and goal‑oriented individual who understands a client’s business needs and can deliver solutions in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in an oversight role on major construction programs; contractor‑side experience with information management solutions for complex infrastructure projects.
• Must meet requirements for SWAC  Airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) .

Salary range: $90,000 – $135,000, based on experience, education, and market factors.
