Experienced Traffic​/Transportation Engineer

Experienced Traffic/Transportation Engineer role at Stonefield Engineering & Design

• Teach and train entry-level to mid-level designers and analysts
• Prepare Traffic Impact and Parking Studies
• Conduct Intersection Capacity Analyses
• Design Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvement Plans
• Prepare Maintenance and Traffic Control drawings
• Develop Traffic Signal Timing Directives
• Create comprehensive submissions and applications to jurisdictional bodies
• Take on project management responsibilities, zoning and land development permitting, field inspection, hydraulic work, and project reporting
• Present before technical and lay bodies at municipal, county, and state meetings (with proper training)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• PE license is preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with traffic engineering and/or highway design
• Experience with private entitlement of zoning and site plan permitting preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/Sim Traffic
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated
• Familiarity with NJDOT, NYSDOT, PennDOT design and permitting is a plus

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $/yr
. Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and education, with eligibility for annual bonuses.
