In This Role You'll:Join the Skydance team as an Engineer, Production Systems. Your focus will be installing, commissioning, and debugging broadcast production systems—audio, video, control, and IT—critical to our historic broadcast center.
Responsibilities Include:- Understand and support in‑house video, audio, and control systems.
- Use technical schematic documentation and signal path knowledge for system verification.
- Assist maintenance for problem solving and repair of mentioned systems.
- Maintain network and system documentation.
- Work autonomously or as part of a team on technical project execution, collaborating with specialists and wiring technicians.
- Proven familiarity with broadcast systems: compressed and uncompressed video & audio formats, including SMPTE 2110 IP‑based systems.
- Knowledge of production control systems used in complex control rooms for live and non‑live applications.
- Basic networking, subnetting, and VLAN implementation skills.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio.
- Technical understanding of current broadcast systems software, protocols, and standards.
- Network administration fundamentals.
- Hands‑on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Skills:
- College diploma or university degree in Electrical or Broadcast engineering or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team‑oriented, harmonious work style.
- Research capability into hardware and software issues and products.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
