The Role
The Power Supply Electrical Engineer position is part of the Product Development Team. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):
- Participate in supporting design, development and sustaining electrical engineering activities within cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and test engineering groups.
- Utilize electrical design and development tools used in capturing circuit design schematics, laying out printed circuit boards, and performing circuit simulations.
- Provide sustaining support for designs that include analog circuits that interface with sensors, AC/DC power supplies, and communication circuits (e.g. Ethernet I/P, 4/20mA, RS-485,…)
- Perform electronics design verification testing activities and provide evidence to engineering supervisor and peers that designs meet or exceed specification requirements and customers’ needs.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Troubleshoot power supplies and electronic circuits to a functional block or component level.
- Support electronics circuit card manufacturing and product manufacturing by improving product designs, streamlining manufacturing processes, reducing manufacturing costs, and improving quality.
- Work with a cross-functional team and external suppliers to develop power supplies.
- Work with outside contractors to build subsystems.
- May perform modeling and simulation, controls development.
- Utilize analytical tools available in the industry, including thermal design, algorithm development for power supply control, and magnetics design.
- Develop test plans, conduct testing, analyze results and document results in reports.
- Develop and maintain design documentation including schematics, bill of materials, specifications, and user manuals.

- Minimum of 5 years in the industrial power supply industry
- Knowledge of High Voltage and Current Design from PCB to final Assembly.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and enhance existing product design.
- Knowledge of Industrial Plating / Surface Finish power design a plus.
