Resident Engineer

Hazen and Sawyer is actively seeking a Resident Engineer capable of handling all aspects of Construction Management delivery for large or multiple projects located in the greater NYC Metro area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Quality Review of CM team performance and deliverables
  • Adherence to contract documents and approved submittals
  • Quality review of Inspector Daily Reports
  • Quality of CM Administration
• Documentation of project risks
• Processing of contract invoices
• Processing of shop drawings
• Processing of RFIs
• Processing of permits
  
  Processing of change orders
• Processing of subcontractor approvals
• Management of project documentation tools, i.e. software
  • Management, Coordination and Integration with Operating Staff including Maintenance of Facility Operation
  • Management of Schedule
  • Tracking of Safety
  • Facilitating Project Closeout
• Management of CM budget and staffing
• Collaboration amongst team members;
  Owner, Engineer, Operators and Contractors
• Direct report to Senior Construction Management

Qualifications and Skills:

• 10+ years experience
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Professional Registration preferred.
• Experience in Water/Wastewater preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and related PC software packages used on design and construction projects
