Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a 3D Printing Engineer, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The 3D Printing Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printers, designing and developing prototypes, and working closely with the product design team to bring new concepts to life. Daily tasks will include troubleshooting printing issues, fine-tuning mechanical elements, and utilizing CAD software for design purposes.
Effective communication and collaboration with different departments will be essential to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers and related equipment.
- Design and develop prototypes in collaboration with the product design team.
- Troubleshoot printing issues and optimize print quality.
- Fine-tune mechanical elements and integrate with CAD models.
- Utilize CAD software for design and iteration purposes.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Proficiency in 3D printing technology and related software.
- Strong skills in Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
- Experience in Product Design.
- Ability to work on-site in the New York City Metropolitan Area (New Jersey area notes removed to avoid confusion).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Previous experience with 3D printing in the jewelry industry is a plus.
