In the role of Electrical Construction Inspector we will count on you to:

• Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities
• Conduct inspection of electrical, controls, high/low voltage systems, fiber, etc. at transportation facilities such as airports, tunnels, bridges, terminals, transit, ports, and other infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with other field representatives or project managers
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and acceptance of specialized electrical systems
• Perform other duties as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or NICET Level II certification, or a comparable combination of education and experience
• 5+ years’ experience in construction inspection of electrical power and communications work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJ Transit, NJTA, NJDOT
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• OSHA 30‑hour training
• PE license in New York or New Jersey
• Preference given to local candidates

• High school diploma or equivalent (candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a diploma)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical construction inspection
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Proven problem‑solving and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
