From droughts to floods to sanitation systems, Stantec’s Water team designs fit‑for‑purpose solutions to all facets of the water infrastructure life cycle.

• Design and manage sanitary, storm, watermain, and overland flow/civil site plan projects. Complete design work, calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Coordinate design and report deliverable packages for submission to clients and approval authorities.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, attend meetings with clients, team members and sub‑consultants.
• Interpret and implement industry standards, client and regulatory agency requirements.
• Prepare engineering documents, client presentations and maintain client communication.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
• Develop construction specifications, plans and schedules.
• Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFI, prepare site observation reports and perform contract administration tasks.
• Assist in basic cost estimating under technical leaders’ direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
• All other duties as required and assigned.

• Efficient task management and technical execution on multiple concurrent projects.
• General understanding of municipal engineering and site development design, materials, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods and their impacts on the project site.
• Ability to interpret and apply design and construction codes.
• Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D; basic understanding of Bentley Microstation is a plus.
• Cooperative team communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

• Education:
  
  Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of five+ years of related work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Licensure:
  Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
