Responsibilities
  • Provide Reliability Program Lab Coordination Support, including interfacing with Project Managers weekly, coordinating current active and triage efforts across Environmental Validation Labs
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, test, manufacturing) throughout the product lifecycle to ensure robust reliability and quality.
  • Support the development and execution of environmental and reliability validation processes, procedures and plans, ensuring compliance with both Ford and industry standards.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing expert guidance on reliability best practices and potential failure modes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of hardware reliability processes and methodologies.
  • Analyze reliability data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to enhance product performance and durability.
  • Document and communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Lead and execute hardware reliability analysis, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology Engineering, Mechanical Technology Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in electronic hardware reliability engineering, with a strong track record of success in applying DFMEA, PFMEA, and RCCA methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of electronic component failure mechanisms and reliability prediction techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred).
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence Atlassian Tools.
  • Detailed understanding of Test System Design and Software Automation.
  • 5+ Years experience with automotive electronic modules and systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (AEC‑Q, USCAR, ISO/IEC).
  • Laboratory Management and Certification experience (ISO/IEC‑17025, A2LA).
  • Experience with Liquid Chiller Systems and Temperature Chambers.
  • 5+ Years experience with environmental testing and validation procedures for automotive.
  • Electronic PCB Assembly Inspection, Destructive and Chemical Analysis Processes (IPC).
  • NI Software Automation Development experience (Lab View and Test Stand).
  • 5+ Years experience with D/FMEA processes (5D/8D, RCCA, 5‑Why).
  • Experience with Probabilistic Reliability and Bogey Testing.
  • Failure Probability (Weibull) and Accelerated Life‑Cycle testing.
  • Statistical Data analysis (histogram / CPK) automation tools.
  • Experience with RF communications test and design (TDR /Cellular/GPS/WiFi/BT).
  • Detailed understanding of various technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet (Broad

    R), Audio (i2S), Displays (LVDS) and Cameras.
  • Network Expert with TCP/IP connectivity protocol standards knowledge base.
  • Experience with embedded chip programming and software download into electronic modules.
  • Knowledge of Surface Mount, Selective Solder, Underfill, Conformal‑Coat processes.
  • Experience working with dynamic RF front‑end designs and Qualcomm tool sets.
