DescriptionFisher Associates is a multidisciplinary design services firm headquartered in Rochester, NY, with eight locations nationwide. The firm provides civil/site engineering, transportation engineering, electrical engineering, landscape architecture, architecture, planning, environmental, surveying, GIS, construction inspection, precast engineering and construction engineering services to public and private sector clients across numerous markets.
What You’ll Do As a Precast Design Engineer- Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost‑effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.
- Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions.
- Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.
- Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards.
- Support cost estimation for materials.
- Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.

$83,000 – $105,000
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promise any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
Requirements- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred
- 5 – 10 years minimum precast concrete design engineering experience
- Experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures and pump stations) preferred
- Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE‑7, AASHTO
- Familiarity with IBC codes a plus
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D
