Title: Building Enclosure/Facilities Project Consultant

We are looking for a self‑motivated, positive‑attitude individual who is a team player and has a strong work ethic. This role will be based in the Orlando, FL metropolitan statistical area.

Primary Duties
  • Conduct visual building enclosure system surveys, moisture surveys, pre‑design surveys and property condition assessments.
  • Perform forensic evaluations and investigations on building enclosure and roof components suffering performance issues and suspected of failing.
  • Perform field testing of roofing, waterproofing, window and curtain wall systems and other building components on new construction and existing facilities per ASTM, AAMA, TAS and ANSI standards.
  • Review construction documents including architectural drawings, shop drawings and submittals related to the building enclosure.
  • Perform quality assurance site inspections to verify conformance with construction documents, manufacturers and industry standards.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting investigative results, testing and observations performed.
  • Travel occasionally in‑state and out‑of‑state, including overnight stays.
Essential Functions

Consulting, forensic/quality control field testing and inspection duties for commercial, retail, educational, multi‑family, low‑to‑high‑rise and manufacturing structures in both public and private sectors. Requires related consulting and field experience, a strong understanding of construction types, and knowledge of building enclosure components and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications , Experience and Education
  • 3+ years consulting experience with building enclosure systems (wall claddings, windows, curtain wall systems, roofs, waterproofing).
  • Technical knowledge of building construction.
  • Proficient in reading plans & specifications.
  • Higher education degree in applicable/related field (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Preferred Skills
  • IIBEC certification such as RRO or REWO, or similar.
  • Infrared thermography training.
  • Remedial design experience related to building enclosure/roof.
  • Certified or willing to become certified in operation of boom lifts.
  • Good report writing skills.

  • 50% field assignments.
  • Climbing ladders and observing from mechanical lifts.
