Primary Responsibilities- Lead design and manage projects including roadway, hydraulic, sewer, site grading, stormwater management, utilities, and permitting.
- Coordinate with all disciplines involved in projects.
- Interact with clients to deliver according to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and utilities.
- Perform quality checks and reviews.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Mentor junior staff and represent HDR at industry seminars.
- Support project tracking and business development activities.
Preferred:
- PE License in NY and/or NJ
- 15+ years of civil/highway design experience
- Experience with Microstation, InRoads, Openroads, AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, PANYNJ
- Leading design teams
Required:
- Minimum 10 years of roadway engineering design experience
- PE or P.Eng license
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with urban/rural highway design, traffic management, and planning
- Ability to coordinate survey, grading, drainage, utilities, and layout
