We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, geologists, planners and landscape architects headquartered in Syracuse, NY, with branch offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. - Provide high-level building review and design services for a broad range of clientele.
- Engage with clients and coordinate with project teams to develop proposals, fees and project scope.
- Conduct project site investigations, code review and analysis, and ensure alignment with design intent and client requirements.
- Perform architectural design, including detailing, delegation of work to intern architects and designers, and review of their work.
- Prepare and review design reports, building condition surveys, construction drawings and specifications; verify construction projects for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Ensure effective coordination with structural, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering team members to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Assist with proposal development and client communications; contribute to project leadership and mentoring of junior staff.
The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Architecture with a minimum of 10+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects. Candidate should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to design and manage small to large projects, and a comprehensive technical background across all facets of architectural and building design, including code review and client management.
- Specific areas of expertise may include client engagement, proposal and fee development, project site investigations, code review and analysis.
- Architectural design, including detailing, delegation of work to intern architects and designers, and review of their work.
- Preparation and review of design reports, building condition surveys, construction drawings and specifications; verification of construction projects for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication and writing skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of basic construction and industry standards, state building codes, and awareness of related disciplines (structural, electrical, mechanical, civil).
- LEED AP and other industry certifications are considered a plus.
- Registration as a Registered Architect (RA) in NY or eligibility to obtain is desired.
Estimated Pay Range: $90,000 - $115,000/year.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, location, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
